The Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation supports Joe’s Club and Safe Ride Transportation with three special event fundraisers, corporate sponsorships, individual donations and corporate giving. Below are the fundraisers scheduled for the  2020 – 2021 Budget Year.

The Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation is pleased to host the Seventh Annual Cycle For Alzheimer’s (Cycle4Alz). The event is 100% volunteer-run by the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation employees, partner organizations, and their families & friends.

Louise Jones Golf Classic


24th Annual Golf Tournament
Indian River Colony Club, Tee Time 8:30am

The Louise Jones Golf Classic, our 24th annual golf tournament will be held October 23, 2021. All proceeds will benefit the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation and those who attend “The Club.” We are privileged to have hosted a successful tournament for over 20 years! With your help we can host 20 more!

All proceeds benefit Brevard County residents battling Alzheimer’s and Dementia Related Diseases. We serve only Brevard County Families, providing thousands of hours of adult care services, transportation, in-home respite, caregiver support and education. Thank you for your consideration!

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 5K and 1-Mile Walk Down Memory Lane

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is recognized in June every year. Help us increase awareness of Elder Abuse in our community!

Our Event : Friday, June 11, 2021

Location : Melbourne Auditorium (625 E Hibiscus Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32901).

Times : 7 am: 5K

8:00 am : Stroll Down Memory Lane 1 Mile Course Opens

8:15 am : Awards for 5K Runners

9:00 am : Brevard County World Elder Abuse Expo Opens

Noon : Stroll Down Memory Lane Course Closes and Expo Ends

The early registration fee is $25 and guarantees a free t-shirt if signed up by May 31st, 2021. After May 31st, t-shirt availability cannot be guaranteed. Event day registration will be $30. Registrations can also be paid with cash or check also by mailing your registration form and payment to WEAAD, 4676 N Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935

Event Day Registration will be from 6 – 6:30 am with the race beginning at 7 am. Awards will be presented at 8:30 am.

ALZ Golf and Ball Drop

1) Entry fee: $20 per chance/golf ball or $99/7 golf balls. Each participant will be entered into the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation Helicopter Ball Drop, sponsored by the Waite Company, to be held at the Indian River Colony Club in Viera, Florida. Participants may enter as many times as they would like. Participants will be assigned numbered golf ball(s) based on their entry. The maximum number of balls to be sold is 2000. Balls will be sold from February 15, 2021 – April 10, 2021. An email will be sent confirming your purchase and another will be sent with your golf ball number(s) from Participants must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible to purchase chances and to win prizes.

2) On Saturday, April 10, 2021, the numbered golf balls will be placed randomly in a bucket, flown up into the air within a Helicopter, and dropped above the 9th hole at the Indian River Colony Club. The participant whose golf ball is closest to the pin will win $5,000 cash.

3) Winner will be the ball that goes closest to the pin. Determination for the golf ball closest to the pin will be conducted by measuring the distance from the pin to the nearest golf ball. In case of a tie, the participant whose golf ball is the lowest numbered will be deemed closer.

4) Winners will be announced on‐site live on Facebook and need not be present to win. The event will be live-streamed and can be viewed online on multiple pages.

5) If the Helicopter Ball Drop must be canceled for any reason, it will be delayed one day or until the weather is suitable for helicopter safety.

6) All funds raised with the Helicopter Ball Drop will go to the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation.
