What is Dementia-Friendly Business?

Dementia-friendly businesses show support of the elder and dementia community. Dementia-Friendly Brevard will offer staff posters and training brochures to help with sensitivity to clients/customers/patients with dementia. The training demonstrates understanding dementia, identifying common problems, communicating appropriately, and creating a safe environment to ensure that customers with dementia are welcome in your business.

What does it cost to become a Dementia-Friendly Business?

Nothing. This local initiative is funded through the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation. While donations are always appreciated and accepted, it is absolutely not REQUIRED.
